FULL EPISODE "The key is accurate and timely communication of what's happening, what you're thinking, and what you're going to do about it. Today, change is constant and happens at a rapid pace. So, communicate as often as we can and in a meaningful way. It’s the human element of turning a company into a revenue machine." – Chris Green
[2:22] Episode Highlights Video
[2:27] How Execution Cadence Beats Outcome Chasing "Bring a solution to every problem and then communicate that amongst your team, amongst your board, amongst your founder." – Chris Green
[4:39] Stopping Misalignment With Daily Mission Communication “The more success every company has, the further it sometimes gets away from that original mission, or the founder or C-suite may no longer understand that everybody else in the company doesn't really connect yet with the purpose or mission of the company. Usually, that comes back to communication. They need to understand what the company's there to produce, other than just giving them a job. It's really making them a part of that process.” – Chris Green
[4:18] Growth Accelerates When Markets Fit Your Value “If companies start by going after and getting the wrong customers, you could be listening to the wrong voices. So, defining the markets and the segments within those markets that are best suited for the products or services that we have to offer is important so that you can truly get that voice of the customer the right way.” – Chris Green
[1:40] AI Helps, But Human Conversations Close The Gap “AI is great. They can create a lot, but it doesn't solve everything. You still need a human, and you need that interaction or that conversation.” – Chris Green
[3:59] Purpose Turns Teammates Into Natural Salespeople “We cannot afford not to have everyone being a salesperson in a company. Everyone should be able to have that 32nd conversation with their friends, family, neighbors, or people at a cocktail or social gathering about the mission of the company, what you are here to solve, and what that does for people. That's how people connect best.” – Chris Green
[2:31] Connection First, Then Mission Alignment “Internal chaos starts with not taking the time to get to know each of our colleagues. Get to know them and understand where they're coming from, where they want to go, and where they are today. If you can do that, it becomes a lot easier to connect the mission of the company, and with a lot of that alignment, chaos goes away because people give the benefit of the doubt positively.” – Chris Green
[2:27] Your Vibe Attracts Your Tribe At Work “If you're not taking care of your overall self-health, then how can you possibly have the right energy in the universe to attract the right kind of people?” – Chris Green
[5:12] Increasing Communication To Match The Pace Of Change “Having open and honest conversations with people and acknowledging that change is happening, discussing potential alternative paths that we could forge forward with, and being really open to input from the company, all of that together is the key because just as the rate of change has increased, the rate of communication has to increase too. It's no longer a monthly or quarterly town hall, but how often do we need to communicate as often as we can and in a meaningful way too.” – Chris Green
[2:15] Relationships Outlast Revenue And Drive Resilience “Relationships are the best part of the entire journey. So, take the time to get to know two or three people in your company and do it as often as possible. Get to know them as a person that you genuinely care about without any expectation in return.” – Chris Green
